Ah, autumn....

It's late.  The wind is blowing.  Leaves rustling.  Cloudy night.  Harvest moon. Bit of a chill.  Soft orange lighting.  Cuppa tea.  Inside is finished. Neighborhood is quiet....ah, autumn....

I love her so much ...

Great Pumpkin Project ~ Day 12

I did not leave my JOL in this park.  I gave it to a very curious 7 year old boy whose birthday was the next day.  I made sure his grandpa was okay with him accepting a pumpkin from a stranger. Also made sure it had a GPP tag and tea light.  As we make the exchange grandpa tells me with a big smile "Happy Halloween."  Grandson also with a big smile then tells me, " My grandpa's birthday is Halloween."  Destiny......

Hey, we're in the news...

Last year our local newspaper expressed an interest in doing an article on our Halloween display.  They sent a photographer, Katherine Jones, and a reporter, Dan (Dusty) Parnell.  It's been an interesting and fun experience.  They both did an awesome job and we're crazy about the results.  We are beyond thankful for their interest and their talent.
The print edition is in the Idaho Statesman Treasure Magazine.  It's a special edition printed 4 times a year and included with subscriptions.
The online edition has a video and about 47-48 photos.
BTW ~ I am not clever adding links, photos, etc.  The photo below is not one of theirs.  It's mine but I couldn't figure out how to attach their photo to the links. To view the print or online editions, please click on the links.

Great Pumpkin Project ~ Day 1

Great Pumpkin Project ~ Day 1

St. Benedict's Haunted Hospital in Sterling, Colorado.  I grew up here...northeast Colorado...and yes, several people truly believe it is haunted.  Many, many stories...faces in the elevator...faces in the windows...no power in eons and yet, the lights still come on....
